MOVIE PLOT: This movie is based on the 2011 novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs.
When his grandfather mysteriously dies, 16 year old Jacob Portman discovers clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, he travels back to 1940 and finds a magical place known as "Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children" run by the mysterious Miss Peregrine. But the mystery and danger deepen as he gets to know the children and learns about their special "peculiarities" and their powerful enemies. Ultimately, Jake discovers that only his own "peculiarity" can save his new friends from the "Hollowgasts", and "Wights" who are all lead by Mr. Barron, with little hope in him.
